Absolutely YES that is the best time and take the glove box liner out! Watch out for the pressed metal glove box opening SHARP edges (especially the L&R sides). 5/32 (?) and or 11/32 (?) sockets with a palm wrench should work for the nuts on the fixed studs. There are double studs on the far Land R ends and one on the drop tip in the center. And then a couple above the instrument cluster and above the glove box area and the environmental control panel. If you have a/c vents they can make for a pita to access the top R/H one. I usually remove the vents and the outer vent mount box.
A good shoot going up under the glove box front e floor. See the stud inline with the glove box latch, that is one.
From under dash, finger tip is on the glove box latch. See the stud by the light wire while plastic? And then far L/H by the green wire.
Forgot to mention, you do not have to take the metal strip off the front metal portion of the dash to remove the rear section dash pad. Be careful if it is not cracked. Get ALL the nuts off before you start trying to remove. With ALL the nuts of the studs removed, it will lift right off. I remember 9 or 11 of them.
