Crawl under your 4X4 Super Duty and you will see one that is similar. That is a “double cardan” CV. Completely different animal.

Remind me to never have a discussion with you about U joints. Both of you were pretty informative to people who don't know, thanks.

One is just as easy to replace as the other, if you carry spare shafts, but I would rather not break one to begin with which is why I have U joints, haven't broken one yet on my dana 30 with a locker and 35s, stock CV joints would never hold up to the abuse I put it through. RCVs are stronger than factory U joints but like I mentioned before but they aren't cheap, they are technically a CV joint but much stronger than your normal ones, they also have a tendency to wear out and start clicking.

yes of course thats one of the biggest reasons they dont use cv. much easier to deal with ujoints. every jeep and offroad forum had this topic beat to death and the #1 response why not use cv is because its hassle to deal with

I won't, as long as you tell me what factory dealer or auto parts store I can buy those control arms and CV shafts from for a stock vehicle...

Those are custom parts. Show me a stock Chevy 3500 doing that with 42"+ tires
