After being plugged in overnight, my 73 showed no signs of life, just cranked and cranked. I put a meter on the block heater plug and got 15 ohms. What should it read??

I have that information somewhere let me see if I can find it I don’t remember it off the top of my head. Edit: 12-15 ohms However even if the block heater did not work, your glow plug system should’ve started the truck up, well into the single digits. The block heater itself rarely goes bad often it is the cord. When I bought my truck I just decided to replace the whole thing so I knew what I was working with… See the link below for what I replaced it with.
Sounds like your GPR and GP’s are not working properly. If you haven’t replaced them recently it may be time for new ones. If you do replace the glow plugs make sure you only use Motorcraft! The aftermarket GP’s swell up at the tips taking them in possible to remove from the head. When my glow plug relay went out I replaced it with a Stancor GPR.
