I just purchased an '01 Excursion and am swapping over my brake controller. I posted some pics below for referance, but it appears that it is already wired and that the previous owner cut the wires and removed their controller. The picture of the wires are from under the dash. I am curious if anyone has an idea on the white wire (actually white with a black stripe) with the black tape on the end? I am thinking it has nothing to do with the controller and is something else.
Another question. I am going to be updating my controller (its pretty old). Any recommendations?
In my search I cam across the Curt Echo Smart Wireless Brake Controller. Not sure how I feel about it, but it looks interesting.
