If you are referring to the lock cylinder, you have to drill out the button on the bottom. It's aluminum so easy to drill out, relatively speaking.
That little button is hardened steel. Not so easy to drill out

You are going to have to drill out the main part of the cylinder. It's aluminum, with brass pins. 1/2" bit will do nicely. Rotate the cylinder once the tumblers are drilled out and depress the pin. Lots of Youtube videos out there.

I drilled the pin out on my '94, as it didn't have any keys when I bought it. If the pin was hardened, it was the softest hardened pin I've ever put a drill bit to. Or perhaps it was aftermarket and didn't have a hardened pin to begin with? Not sure I guess.
Had a similar situation. I can say that a large screwdriver in the keyhole, turned with force, can also break the little lock pins. Unfortunately, when I did that, it also jammed up something else important, but I was successful removing the lock at that point. It was still a piece of work to get it out, and I had to deal with that other broken thing. It's been too long to remember the details, except that I do not recommend this method.
