You may get lucky with a dab of super glue to the end of the key.........But it sounds to me your going to need a whole new ignition tumbler. This reminds me to go have a new key cut and swap it out with the old one. Maybe a lock smith might be able to get it out, and cut you a new key with the pieces. I would think a lock smith's attemt would be cheaper then a mechanic shop to replace the tumbler. Although if you drill it off yourself you would save a lot of money. It's really not that hard of a repair. Hope it's not one of those eletronic keys

It's not electronic. Almost every time I've seen a broken key it's because the lock cylinder is very worn, which is common on these trucks. If you get a lock cylinder from Ford they can cut the new keys to still work in the doors.

Is the key broken such that you can turn the barrel? If so it is easy to remove. If not I think you are going to have to drill it out unless you can do as suggested and get an key cut from the pieces. If you have to drill it do a search of this forum and you should come up with full instructions.

If you can, somehow turn the tumbler to it's first ON position. Then locate the small hole under the housing beneath the tumbler. By pushing a small drill bit or pin up into that hole while pulling or prying the tumbler, it will release and come out.
