I did a search and found conflicting answers, Mercon LV seems to be the latest for our trucks. But I'm looking for confirmation on this please. I have a 2017. TIA
thanks for this chart. Notice it says to replace the fluid at 150k miles. Seems like a long way to go on a two quart capacity. I'm doing mine a 45k.
Was searching the forum for that very thing. Is that correct - the transfer case really only holds 1.9qt? Thought it must be a misprint in the manual, so came here looking.

None of the ones I have ever owned held more than that, pretty normal.
I changed mine at 20k miles after the winter season. My truck is in 4wd a lot during the winter and I did about 80 hours of snow removal with it this winter. I picked up two quarts of Mercron Lv as stated in the manual and changed it out. LOTS of sparkle in that fluid, a little dark though I understand this isn't a bad thing with the new fluids.

Yep, my truck has about 1,200 miles on it now so planning to change oil, Tcase, rear axle fluids for sure. I've ran the front hubs in Lock for a little bit (about 20mi so far) but prob no use changing it just yet. I'm a big believer in changing fluid early and getting the run-in fluids out. Always gonna have flakes/sparkle (at best) generated with new components wearing in, and I don't want that trash washing thru the bearings.

Also a fan of some early fluid changes. First oil change was 2500 miles, t-case done, diff fluid front and rear coming today so everything but the transmission which is supposed to be good for 150K. Mine trans will get serviced every 50k.
That t-case fluid was pretty nasty at 20k miles, lots of suspended metal removed for sure.
I run royal purple atf just because I get it cheaper than anything else. As long as you use synthetic you are good! I change it every even 50k kilometers on the odo. Thats about 30k miles
