I noticed this a couple days ago, tried to clean it off with a micro fiber cloth and car wash soap thinking it was water spots at first. Stopped at the dealer today andmade an appointment to drop off Friday. Has anyone had this happen on a new truck? 27000 miles on it today.
I hadn’t heard much about it for awhile, 2 of my Ram trucks did it before i switched to Ford. I had one of them sanded and clear coated to fix it, don’t really want to have to do that on this one!
That looks like delamination under the polycarbonate.......can't polish it out as it's between the polycarbonate and the black plastic. If it's a manufacturer defect, and the truck is still under warrantee, I'd be in my dealership in a hot minute.
Behemoth...It’s on the top of the lens, not in between. As I said, appointment is Friday for them to decide what Ford is going to do. I’m pretty sure they will replace both.
That happened on my 2018 at around 20k miles June 2020. I had them warranty replaced, but my dealer insisted something about Ford not covering that anymore despite it being well under 3/36k. Said July 12, 2020 was the cut off and you now have to go through some difficult process, blah blah blah. Anyway, I'd call your dealer sooner than later if plan to replace them
