Hey, I'm a new user, (and a pretty young kid), and i just got my first truck. It it a 79 F150 custom with a short bed, But i have a lot of work to do for it. I am currently removing the dash pad (because it is faded and cracked) but i need a little help.

I know that i have to take off the gauges and glove box but for the love of God I can't get off this plastic front dash piece.

I have the original radio and heater. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

hi I was just wondering how much of the work did you do yourself on the rebuild and how much did you have done at a shop? what kind of price range did it cost to do a frame up rebuild? if you don't mind me asking as I'm thinking about either doing a full rebuild on my truck which I'd love to do or maybe just go thru each section of the truck and upgrade it piece by piece and go it that route. any tips or suggestions ?

Very nice truck! You've got a great 434! You're like me when it comes to the engine build. Yes I know it would be cheaper to do a 460, but it came with an FE so I built what it was supposed to have. Any besides...everyone runs a 460, it's nice to be different. Oh and where did you get that steering shaft?
