If you cant do any of the work it will run BIG BUCKS!
If you want a trailer queen it will run BIG BUCKS!
If you can do all the work or say 80%+ of it and want a nice driver it will be a LOT LESS but more work on your part.
Maybe you can find a shop that will pull the cab & bed and do any work that is needed to them and paint it and you pull the frame back home and do the needed work to it.
I don't know if the motor needs to be rebuilt or not and the same on the transmission & rear end.
Say the motor needs to be rebuilt pull it and send it out while you work on the rest of the frame.
Strip it down, clean, paint it and when you put the suspension back in rebuild it. New bushings, new brakes, lines, gas lines, etc. so it is a rolling frame again.
When the motor comes back install it with new clutch assy., clean and painted (if you want) trans.
Then you can take it back to the shop for the cab & bed install.
Now would that be a nice driver or a trailer queen?
That is up to you how you want to use the truck and the job you did on the frame and the shop on the body & bed?
On my 81 F100 flare side I bought it to do weekly trash runs but needed so work to be road worthy in my eyes.
Being an ex-body man I could not do a half azz job on the work so it turned into a 4 year cab off frame rebuild, bed was not really there just the bed sides.
I did all the work my self other wise I would of never had the $$ to pay a shop to do the work that I did.
Floors, rockers, rear door posts, cab corners, used a style side bed floor that looks factory, added a AC firewall to the truck so I have AC, added dual tanks that also looks factory and made custom bumpers.
I wanted a nice driver and it is all that and then some if you ask people that have seen it.
And yes I do use it for the weekly trash runs and back in forth to work when I want, 37 miles each way, 4K+ since Nov 2019.
And the best part I can run this front plate!
