I’m leaving my blue 66 ford pickup behind to much work for me it’s going into storage until later in life but I found a 66 ford down in garden city Kansas I bought for 1100$ tell me what you think about if it was a good buy or not also this is the first time I’ve seen a short bed step side in person on one of these 60s ford trucks
Looks like a better start than the other one. Plus you can use the other one as a parts truck now. Obviously this one doesn't run but did you get the other one to run?

Yes this one the cab doesn't appear to be falling over the frame.
Now you need to probably pilfer some parts off your other trucks to make this one whole.
Clearly the radiator is missing and there is something funky going on with the fuel system.
I'd say get this one running, then give it a good cleaning. After that go after the steering and suspension, then brakes and then worry about the cosmetics.

I did not get it running it sat outside for 30 years with no oil or oil filter exposed to moisture it is locked

Can an anyone tell me about the rear bumper on the right side on the back of the bumper it says “smash hit” bumper which is interesting because I know that’s the company that made the optional grill guards for the late 40s early 50s Chevy trucks so I guess it’s cool that it’s not a farmer built bumper like a lot of them are
