Random stall at idle

Hello,
New to 7.3 diesel so lookimg for some help.
I have a 2003 7.3 litre with 250,000 km on it was running fine except was a little light on boost pressure and had kinda high egt. But my main issue is it started having a random misfire and then would stall randomly at idle. Replaced the cps and icp sensors and random misfire went away did a 10 km drive no issues thought I fixed it then got home and it stalled while at idle in my driveway. The engine light is on but my obdII code reader either says no codes or cant communicate.

What code reader are you using? I recommend using your phone or laptop, an OBDII dongle and the Forscan Lite app - details in my signature.

Hello, and welcome to the FTE @British Columbia !

We are here to help, but we need you to be the eyes, ears and hands as the onsite person. As Jeff mentioned above, some scan tool programs like TorquePro or OBDwiz will not read codes 100% of the time and/or only read part of the active codes. Jeff mentioned he has some information on well known and properly functioning scan tools and software in his signature.

In case you are using a mobile device, the link is: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...d-q-and-a.html

In addition, if you look through the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder and down to the "FORScan" header, there is some great information there.

You mentioned you replaced the ICP and CPS, did you use genuine Motorcraft parts? Hopefully you did as the 7.3L is very picky about it's sensors.

Talk to you soon!

Agree with above and add, an inspection of your IPR valve is worth a look. Check the tin nut and open the loom for the plug a little ways checking for damage tor wires. Past that we'll need to get a scanner figured out.
