Hey folks: I have a 55 F100 that I want to add a factory tach to; these install to the left of the steering column where there is some curvature to the sheet metal. The factory tachs have a separate ring behind the tach that adapts the flat tach housing to the curved metal, ends up fitting between the tach chrome ring and the dash itself. Does anyone have one of these?
I would cut a piece of pvc pipe & spray it flat black or dash color. But then my F800 never had a tack but I use a
electric 0 to 3500 Chrysler marine tack right where it belongs with no ring and put a Ford decal over Chrysler nobody will ever know.........
I know where one is if the old man's grandson didn't scrap the truck. And it's 2 hours away. I plan on getting there this spring. And it may be pitted. .....
