My 2020 F350 CCSB Lariat did not come with upfitter switches, so I'm looking for ideas of where to mount a couple switches for some additional lighting. Pictures of your switches would be appreciated! Thanks
Check this out. https://triggercontroller.com No affiliation but I am considering same thing. They have no mounting accessories for ford but suggested people are mounting them on the fuse box lid.
1956Fatfenders did a great write up and a couple of us followed suit with extra pictures. I'd highly recommend this, if your truck has the one connector required in the driver side A pillar. It gets you the OEM up fitters which are absolutely awesome.
I have the upfitters from the factory. My only confusion is from the passenger side, is there some pass through wires to connect to the upfitter wires under the hood or do I need to feed some wires through to get the power? My CB can ground anywhere but the hot needs to connect to one of the upfitter switches.
Ok, so I bought a 2020 f350 cc tremor. It does not have upfitter switches, which is infuriating to not have a $165 option.
I looked into it and found fatfenders thread. Followed it and found a pillar plug, only to find wheel well liner had no harness or arleast a capped one....had my dealer try. Their super duty tech is awesome and was willing to try. He found the harness in the wheel well, but it was already in use. He found i would lose some functionality, ie rear power window.
Wondering if anyone has added upfitters successfully on a 2020? He believes the harness may be different and have a splitter or something. Can anyone share a photo of that harness in the wheel well?
any info appreciated!
ok so I just need to find those pass through wires and connect to them on both sides and I am in business.
I've not used the pass throughs yet but yes, my that's my understanding. First select the proper upfitter wires (driver side, under hood, up against firewall) for the switch you want to use (1-6). Then select the appropriate number of passthrough wires (passenger side floorboard up against firewall) and simply splice them inline, effectively extending the wires for your device. I guess my main question tho is why do you want to use an upfitter switch to power a CD radio?

plan was to use one of them since I don't run the radio except when towing.
