Have a pigtail on the way, but I’m gonna change the cam sensor this evening either way. And then either pick up a used FICM (that hasn’t been dropped ) and send mine to Ed or use FICMRepair’s exchange program
I would not only solder. For such jobs there are crimp connectors that solder automatically when heated and seal the ends with glue.
The connectors are first crimped and then heated with a hot air dryer.

Well, new cam sensor is in! It looked like one of the o-rings was definitely letting oil by. Cleaned the connector up as best I could, put the new sensor in, crossed my fingers, and the truck started right up. Hopefully it continues to do so! 🤞
