My 2001 F250 4.2L has started loosing fuel in the lines after sitting for a prolonged period of time.
After Sitting for a month without be turned on the fuel wasn't in the line. After flattening the battery trying to prime still nothing at the injectors. We towed it in gear for about 2kms and she started up coughing and spluttering.
As soon as it was shut down after running for 30 mins it would struggle to start but would after about 10secs of cranking.
If it is used for a couple of hours working on the farm, it will start right up for the day after but then go back to struggling to start again.
We tightened hose clamps on the fuel filter but didn't fix my problem.
There is no fuel on the ground after sitting for a while.
I'm at a stop on what to look at next.
Has anyone had anything similar?
Any advice would be appreciated.
