Fan switch

I have a 2000 f150. Today I was driving and had the fan switch on one mark up from low. All of a sudden the cold air from the a/c stopped blowing out of the vents. Now the fan will only blow on hi or one mark up from HI and that is it.

How do I fix this.

Either the blower resistor, the switch or their respective connectors and connecting wires has failed.

You could spend an hour troubleshooting the wiring, but if it were me it's not worth my time so I'd just replace the blower resistor, it's 95% the likely problem part. It's right next to the blower motor as shown in this image by the red circle.

I took the old blower motor resistor out ( it is in a tight spot). Picked up a new one. Installed it and now the fan is working great.

This forum has always been awesome for me.
