So im installing a VSS which is in the transfer case. They instructions say to shield the VSS wire that attaches to the gauges.
My problem is Im running the wire in the same loom as the rear lights and Fuel pump wire. Anyone know if they make a shielded VSS that I can buy? Or maybe how did you do yours?
I really dont want to have wrong readings driving down the road.
Here is what they told me. "◊In order to isolate the signal wire from electrical noise interference, we recommend that you use a shielded cable to connect the speedometer to the sensor. Be sure to run the cable as far away as possible from the ignition system and any power wires to electric fuel pumps, motors, blowers, etc., particularly spark plug wires. For best results, we also recommend the use of resistor-type spark plugs and spark plug wiresthat are in good condition."
