Good morning back at ya'. I'm sure the folks in Mississippi did a LOT better than Louisiana.
I am not sure how the folks in LA faired but I'm sure more are hurting now since the scab hasn't even healed from the first hurricane that hit Lake Charles. My nephew has been in LA helping with clean-up ever since the first 'cane hit. He loaded up and went to Alabama to help over there 'till the weather passes.
I saw some of the weather channel videos of the "blue tarps" flapping in the wind.
My LA kin are in north LA and they did OK this time.
Yes.... we seem to be moving in a positive direction at my house.
No covid so far... THANK the LORD for that!
My nephew got it a couple of weeks ago but he was only sick for a couple of days. His son was only sick for one day.
(His wife skee-dattled over to her a friend house. She still got it anyway.)
The weather isn't too terribly hot!
Thank the Lord!!
My nephew is STILL down in lower Louisiana helping with clean-up down there. Those folks are still cutting downed trees out of their yards.
My nephew is going to bring a piece of an oak tree back next time he comes this way. Judging by the pics I have seen, that joker is about 5 feet in diameter.
He was sawing it with a saw that has a 59" bar and it just did make it thru.....
Surprising things is..... it is NOT hollow.
THAT is an OLD tree.
Folk pay good money for tables from such trees, got to let them age & dry to prevent cracks.
That was what nephew said he was gonna do with that tree...... cut table tops.
I bet that tree (or parts thereof) would have to dry a WHILE to keep it from cracking.
