Mine worked great in my ‘16 F150, my ‘18 F350, and my current ‘21 F350. You all do know you have to adjust the sensitivity on the stalk, right?
In fact they work as well, or even better than in my wife’s Porsche.
The auto hi beams def work better than my wife’s Porsche. Very happy with them.

As best as I can recall, the specific problem with this feature on our truck is its non-linear behavior. Specifically, a seemingly small increase in rain intensity causes the wipers to instantaneously switch from an appropriate interval sweep mode to hyper mode.
I’m glad to hear that some are satisfied with this fearure’s performance on their trucks, but I’m not.
Has anyone heard of a possible software update to improve the behavior?
This was an option I was fine living without. I had them on my 2018 Ram 2500 and they were crap. Either too little too late, or they would go full speed in a light mist. I read somewhere they are very sensitive to having a spotless-clean windshield. No matter how clean I would get the windshield, they would act funky. Between that and the climate control that liked to shut off the AC compressor on defrost at random times (usually in the middle of a curve at night in the dark so that the windshield would fog up instantly) I swore to never drive a Ram again... That was after honestly having to stick my head out the window to avoid crashes.
My wife had them on an Audi once and they were perfect. I am more irritated that you have to get the rain sensing wipers in order to get heated steering wheels. That makes literally no sense to me, Ford.
Yeah, I only bought them to get the heated steering wheel.
That's the only reason I ordered the Rain Sensing Wipers on my 2022 also. Want that heated steering wheel when the truck has sat out overnight in the -30F MT temps.
Yeah, my main reason for ordering them as well was to get the heated wheel.
Love the heated wheel in my current truck, so great for warming your hands after hooking a trailer up at 4 a.m. in super cold weather.
All the posts about how terrible the rain sensing wipers are and to just turn them off are are not helpful and certainly don't help anyone troubleshoot their issues. Like I said in an earlier post, they worked perfectly on my 2017 Super Duty. That said, I think I may have found the issue. It looks like my factory windshield may have a defect at the rain sensor location. It appears the black out mask material surrounding the rain sensor/camera windows might have bled through under the template when it was manufactured. There looks to be a bubble of the black out material that is inside of the rain sensor circle. I'm guessing this is the problem with the wipers. I'll let you all know what the dealer says next week. Note black bubble inside rain sensor window

Ok the issue is resolved. The sensor had not been mounted in the sensor mount bracket. The black bubble I was seeing was the edge of the loose sensor up against the inside of the glass. I love my "now working" rain sensing wipers.
Hmm come to think about it I dont think my rain sensor wipers are working either, if your wipers are turned off do they just come on when it rains. Where is the sensor ?

My SuperDuty has that little black spot too. My rain sensing wipers have not worked properly since I got the truck and they worked perfect on my previous F-150. Did the little black spot go away when they mounted the sensor correctly?
"Quality is job 1". Oh wait, Ford does not use that slogan anymore.
One thing I would like to see, is an adjustment to give more delay to when the wipers start when pressing the washer button. The above note: "Note: Do not operate the wipers on a dry windshield.", is negated by having the wiper start the same time as the washer pump in many cases.
