Okay awesome! I’ll get a new filter then!
I wanted to pop for new injectors and a tuner at the same time but I guess if I get a Hydra I won’t need to send it in when I get my injectors!

Is the Hydra what y’all would recommend for my application? I know I’m probably asking a 100+ thread question that’s already been discussed a hundred plus times! So is there a link y’all could post for me to hit?

My idle temps settle at around 350* at idle, E99 F350 7.3.

i looked at it again. Around 300 or so stopped at a red light warmed up, but it slowly cools off under extended idling.

After a 25 mile trip towing our 5th wheel, the idle temperature settled just under the 300* mark on my ISSPRO pyrometer gauge with the probe in the driver side manifold. The truck had been idling for about 10 minutes before the reading was taken while backing the 5th wheel into the site and then unhooking to park the truck.

Because of this thread, I wanted to make note if the EGT reading at idle after the truck was worked.

250-275 at idle here. After driving a while it's around 300* for 30 seconds and will drop back to this range before shutdown

That’s about right after double checking mine. As high as 350 or so when it’s hot-hot at a red light and cools off from there if you let it idle for awhile. Not something I normally paid much attention to. On a cold start it will only be around 200 when it lights.

Hey thanks y’all for your input and advice! Just slapped on the Donaldson 6637 and that made a good difference! I’d say 50-100* cooler than before and it seemed the past week before the filter arrived, the EGTs slowly got cooler throughout the week?? Maybe the turbo “breaking in”? IDK! But anyway thanks again!
