I have had this truck for a little over 3 years now. It is a 2017. The only aftermarket thing installed that has to do with wiring is the amp steps. Those were installed at time of purchase. My driver side battery was doing what all Ford batteries were doing so I replaced it with an Odyssey. The passenger side battery is still stock but has no leakage, corrosion, etc. Looks brand new.
I drive the truck maybe twice a week. I went to leave last week and the batteries were dead. I can usually throw my charger on and set it on the 200 amp engine start setting and it will fire right up. That did not work this time so I let both charge for a few hours and all was well. I started and restarted it several times throughout the day and there were no issues. This was Wednesday. It is now Friday and I went to leave and same thing. Dead.
So my question is, could there be something else drawing enough low power to kill the batteries? Could the passenger battery be dead and the Odyssey just not be strong enough? I am sure more info is needed on my end but for now, I am baffled.
You mixed batteries? You replace both batteries not just one. You also don't want to mix battery chemistry because they do charge and discharge at different rates. Your other stock battery is probably bad and the AGM is dying because it is essentially float charging the discharged battery.
Odd update. My wife has a 2018 Tahoe. Never had any battery issues. She drives dozens of times a day. Her battery was also dead this morning. Seems strange.

Interesting, I did not know that. Honestly when I replaced it, I had seen another engine bay with the same battery (and only having one replaced as well). I will have to have it tested.
If I were to speculate your existing battery was also failing so it drained the new battery. Happens often which is why it is recommended to replace both same time.
Batteries don't last like they used to for sure. I average replacing both of mine about every 5 years max. Some have been 3. Factory batteries on my 18 died suddenly two months ago. Replaced them with Napa gold batteries. The bad thing about thing about our trucks is we don't have a volt meter to check charging or battery status and with my truck it literally cranked like a new one at 8a and I drove an hour away to my farm where it sat outside the shop for two hours and was dead as a hammer when I tried to crank it 3 hours later. Running board deployed normally when I got in but in my haste I didn't realize it had not deployed when I exited which almost didn't end well with a faceplant. Lol. Truck fired right up with a jumpstarter. I would recommend getting one and keeping it in your truck since they give zero warning of issues until you're stranded.

It makes sense, so I will be ordering a new battery. The kicker was my wife's battery being dead as well. Made me think there was some weird atmospheric issues happening as her battery is fairly new. I will replace the battery and hope that the newer one is not dead.

How old is the other vehicle? Hot weather always seems get mine. I swear I have spent more Labor Day weeks replacing batteries than years I have not. Lol. I live in North MS so that time of year is the hottest by a long shot. Battery killer for sure.

The Tahoe is 2 years old. Never even had a slight starting hesitation so a little weird that both were did. I am going to have that battery and alternator tested just to make sure. I live in Southern California. It has been an extremely hot summer, consistently 105+ degrees the last 2-3 months.

here’s a pro tip. Lol. Have the new batteries load tested as well before purchasing. I’ve had a couple that were dead on the shelf. Probably something that would only happen to me but regardless it did.

Only issue with that is I order via Odyssey direct and they have them shipped to my house.
Yeah, you never mix batteries unless they're isolated, guaranteed that's the issue on the 2017. On a 6.7, you're lucky to see 3 years out of a set of batteries, that's about all the more I've ever gotten out of them. The tahoe could well have a bad battery too, not uncommon to have them develop a dead cell within 2 years. You also said she drives it a dozens times a day? Many short trips are absolute battery killers! Every start/recharge cycle shortens the batteries life.

Yeah, she does real estate. Constant showings, signings, escrow closures, inspections, etc.
