Question Battery??????

I have a 99' SD, CC, 4X4, V10, and an 800 watt sound system.
It's time for a new battery. I was thinking of the Yellow top Optima.

Do any of you have any info, or other suggestions on batteries???
I only have one Batt. so I want it to be a real good one!

Thanks.....

When comparing batteries of similar cold-cranking amps, amp hours etc. . .the battery that is the heaviest is the best. Also make sure the battery is charged when you purchase it. If the dealer tells you he has to charge it cuz its been sitting for a while, the battery is already bad. Many battery dealers just put their stock on the shelf and leave them there til they sell. Batteries that are not maintained and charged a couple of times a month build up sulfite crystals on the plates and go bad. Purchasing batteries from a shop that specializes in battery sales usually yields a better battery because they know how to care for them.

A yellow top would by the correct choice for your application. The Optima battery has an advantage over other batteries when it comes to shelf life as well as other advantages. The Yellow top is a deep cycle battery, meaning it can be ran dead and recharged many times unlike other batteries.
