2004 F350 Crew Cab Lariat V10: Recently had the drivers side front window regulator replaced. After about 2 weeks, the glass fell down into the door. When i press the up/down buttons i can hear the motor running, but the window will not move up or down. It appears as though the glass is no longer connected to the regulator. Anyone have any pics or explanations on how the glass is secured to the regulator and if this is an easy fix? Thanks All!
I'd take it back to whomever did the job in the first place and tell them to fix it on THEIR dime. A properly installed window should NOT drop out of the channel.

I would first take off the panel and see if maybe the bolts they used came loose. Lots of factory regulators are riveted in and the replacement units direct to drill out the rivets and install bolts and nuts. The window motor could of come loose from the regulator. It may be a easy fix
i would not keep trying to roll up the window. If something catches you could bust the window.

I think your right about the motor coming loose. the glass is still connected solidly to the regulator. the regulator moves as it should up and down with glass still attached when i pull and and down on the window. i can hear the motor running when i press the up/down buttons, but it does not operate the regulator/move the glass. how does the motor connect to the regulator? sound like an easy fix? i'm not very knowledgeable about this particular part of the truck, but definitely prefer to try and fix myself if possible without replacing the entire regulator again.

on my grand marquis the motor was bolted to a metal piece aboit 2 feet long that mounted vertically in the door that has a plastic clamp with a horizontal bar that the window bolted to that slides up and down on the vertical piece using a set of cables on rollers.
On my F350 if I remember it was a scissor like mechanism and the motor turns this half moon sprocket.
maybe something got stripped or loose. Pop the door panel off. It’s a few screws. Easy peazy
