You need the trailer camera/tpms kit for the trailer. This has to be installed and the trailers tires need the tpms installed also.
Thanks for that reply. However, it does not answer the original question. Perhaps if I state it another way?
A friend indicated that he had a set of TPMS sensors in his glove box when he got his truck. I am assuming that it may have come with the Trailering Package from the dealer.
I bought my SD second hand, and while it is trailer equipped King Ranch (fifth wheel package, trailer wiring, tow package etc. I did not find any TPMS Sensors).
Will a 2018 SD recognize whatever sensors are put on the trailer?
I also ask because the trailer has a third party camera package, and when I plugged it in, the camera (3 of them) registered and showed up on the back up camera menu.
Anyone know the answer? I don't want to buy a system with a monitor, when it would simply register with my on board Ford Sync system. I can just buy sensors...... :-)
The trailer needs its own TPMS receiver. It is part of the Camera/TPMS kit. You do have to physically install this on the trailer. There is nothing in the truck that will recognize the additional sensors. Here is the base kit, without camera. https://parts.gregsweetford.com/oem-...xoCe-4QAvD_BwE
Did the 2018 when trailer equipped and having a fifth wheel prep come with TPMS sensors for a trailers? If not, will the system recognize any sensors?
I have a 18 f350 king ranch with gooseneck and 5th wheel packages from the factory. I also have all the cameras blind side and every other option I could add. My Coleman 33’ registered the TPMS within a few minutes and I did not have to I stall any additional equipment

Thank you for the replies. I am going to try some things and report back here what I find. Y' all have been great, thanks again!
