I pulled my fifth wheel for the first time after winter storage. The trailer pressure readings showed in my truck but then blanked out. Some would come back but go away. I got a sensor error message. They are about 3 years old now and I am wondering if they have batteries in them that need changed occasionally? The truck tire pressure readings were perfect.
Most tire pressure sensors are non-serviceable. The normal service life is seven to ten years. One a trailer I would expect them to live until the upper end of that range due to usage. I don't know for sure that the trailer sensors are non-serviceable but I would be very surprised to find that you could change the batteries in them.
Check the cable connection. I think it's a 12 pin plug. Another thought is to go through a relearn of the sensors.

Thanks I'll check the connection and have my local garage use their tool to wake them up.
Another forum member reported that they couldn't figure out how to get the truck system for the trailer sensors to go back into the relearn mode. It was relatively easy the first time, but I haven't tried to do it a second time.
