I have a 2012 F450, it started and drove great yesterday, i went to start it this morning and it's 100% no power. No locks, mirrors, seats, alarm, nothing. I took off the battery terminals and cleaned them but still nothing. I would think if it's the batteries wouldn't it have lugged aft least once while starting?
With today's vehicles and all the electronics, you don't always get the "lugged" or weak starter attempt.
For example. My 2015 has batteries less than a year old, sits more than driven, had a trickle charger on it but failed to start recently, (Appears the 1.5amp trickle charger is not enough to keep batteries at correct voltage level.)
There was no attempt to engage the starter. The dash showed two light and one was check engine light. The radio, AC blower and other instrument cluster items worked. You turn the key and nothing. Even the remote start would not attempt a start since the Check engine light was on. I use TorquePro to pull the DTC's and was surprised there were NO DTC's. After a few minutes I did get about a 2 second weak attempt of the starter. I put the battery charger on the battery @ 40 amp setting. Tried the starter and the engine started. Drove the truck 10-15 miles with a few re-starts along the way with no issues.
Have your batteries load testes individually. If one is bad, replace both at the same time.

1. Welcome to the forum.
2. Welcome to the world of modern vehicles. One minute the batteries work, the next minute no go.
