My 06 f350 6.0 steering is really hard at low rpm's loosens up when giving it fuel but tightens up at lower speeds again. The pump whines alittle bit but not all the time. Is that the hydroboost and just flush the power steering fluid? Or is that the pump is going and needs to be replaced
I would definitely flush the fluid before I replaced the pump. It might not fix your problem, but it won't hurt to have the system full of clean oil in case you have to change the pump. 4 or 5 quarts of Mercon V will do the job and doesn't take that long. Just be sure you put the front wheels in the air to make it quicker/easier. There are a couple of Youtube videos on it also.
Also, I believe the reservoir on the '06 has a filter screen at the bottom. It would be worth draining it out and if it has a screen reverse cleaning it. Pumps are noisy and do not perform well if they are starved.

Spoiler
Do you know how to take the reservoir out or know where I can find a clip to take it out easy. I cant find any. Just the power steering pump removal. The easiest fastest way would be preferred. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated
The 2006 does have a screen and you have to take it out to clean the screen.
Sadly you can't remove the screen from the reservoir.
When I did the new steering gear and pump I also used the solvent in the
can to clean out what the fluid flush did not get. I also installed a filter in
the line to catch any stuff I missed.
I think for the reservoir I used Dawn and hot water along with good shaking.
Then a few rinse cycels and the last one was distilled water and allow to dry
for a few days.
You would be shocked at the crap that was on the screen. Both trucks
were about the same on the screen.

Do you know the fastest easiest way to get the reservoir out. Or would you know where I could find a clip to watch? I couldn't find anything online and I'm kinda new to this. I've seen lots of flushing clips I'm confident to do that it looks easy enough
Thanks for all the input gents. Once I was able to remove the reservoir. I was able to see a small crack in the power steering line. So it is replaced and the reservoir cleaned. A lot of dirt and grime came out, was really amazed on how much actually took about 5 cleans with a soft brissel brush to get it good and a few rinses to finish the job.
you might also have a front ujoint binding up. jack up the front, take a wheel off and then take the tie rods off. try and turn the side to side. then rotate the rotor 90* and try again. if you feel any binding you found the problem.
