Hey guys, been battling this issue for about 2 years or so. Hasn't gotten bad enough for me to consider buying new parts until the last couple of weeks. Here's the issue: I'll push the throttle to accelerate, and even though I push the pedal down to a certain spot and hold it, the truck acts like I'm constantly pushing the pedal down and letting off. Really fun when I'm trying to creep through a parking lot at 5-10mph and the truck decides it wants to jump up to 2000-2500rpms. From what I've seen, my best option is to replace the entire pedal assembly...my question is, which pedal assembly do I need? I got a part number off my throttle assembly (F81A-9F836-AC). The problem is, I can't find that part number anywhere. Riffraff has one that has a part number that's close to mine (F81Z9F836AB) and it says it fits 99-01, but I have an early 99 so not a hundred percent sure that will fit.
Also, does anyone know if I'd be able to replace just the tps or the ivs without replacing the whole assembly? Or do I have to replace the entire assembly? I've already taken the whole pedal assembly out and cleaned it probably 2-3 times in the past year or 2, and it helps for a while, but it always goes back to jerking/bucking.
I replaced just the sensor on my E99 2+ years ago and haven't had any issues. Don't remember where I bought it though probably rockauto or amazon, maybe O o o don't go after 5 and forget about Sundays, definitely didn't do the TwilightZone I'm sure of that. Mortal Sin I know but sometimes I'm tired of spending $$ and just gotta roll the dice.
