Canadian Vin # ?

Hey guys, I have been following along with interest on pickups built in Canada. Maybe some one here could offer a bit of help. Vin # that I have is T1983B1625 and a transmission # H 27153 * This is a 1946, I have never been able to locate a frame # where it should be ?

My canadian 47 had the frame stamp. I couldn't find it until i removed the fenders and took a wire wheel to the frame. I had a hard time finding info on mine but after a number of hours searching the web I was able to find some info.

To the best of my knowledge the frame stampings are the same in Canada as the USA. I can tell you my 1940 Pickup and my 1950 F47 both have them.
You will find the number stamped along the drivers side frame rail,. The easiest one to see is near the steering box, my 1950 has an identical one about half way down the frame.

Is the second frame number under the cab or under the box? I'll look for one on my 52 M1. It doesn't have a box on it currently but I've never noticed anything obvious. I have the one over the steering box area.

If I remember correctly it's just past the back of the cab. I'm out of town till Thursday, but I'll try to remember to have a look when I get home. My box is on but my cab is off right now.

It will be stamped ~12" in front of the box and also right by where the steering box is. Every frame is stamped, but it can be hard to see.

If there is any stamping on mine, it must be inside the frame or under the bottom, nothing on top can be found .

The stampings will be on top of the rail. These were stamped by hand on the assembly line as the trucks were rolling by so they didn't have time to get creative with location. They also had standards to place them in the same approximate location on all vehicles. They're not always easy to see, some are stamped harder than others, but they should be there. It would be a big mess up if one got by without a stamp. Safe to say heads would roll if they got caught.

Here's mine.

Here is a web site I found a few years back. https://itstillruns.com/identify-mer...d-7889451.html
That came from a thread I posted. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...gine-info.html
I was looking for info about my truck for some time. Another post: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-picture.html
This post also addressed the question: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...erc-2-ton.html
