These old flatheads have survived without knowing the difference between rolled and machined threads, but I enjoyed the info.
I'm just a shade-tree mechanic but I'd only use washers on aluminum aftermarket heads. Iron heads? 11/16" head bolts like original should do fine. Grade 5 or better.
If looking like an original bolt is not critical, ARP sells bolts usually in either 4 or 5 packs with washers. If they have the correct size, it would be better than a hardware store grade 8 bolt.

They have to be the correct length, some of the holes are blind holes. Hitting the bottom and torqueing could be bad.
