head bolt washers?

does the straight six uses washers on their head bolts ? mine don't have them

I never seen washers on any heads that I have removed or put on. My 300 six in my truck does not have them so I'm pretty sure that is normal no washers for head bolts.
They are grade 8 strength bolts or more and the torqueing them down should do the trick.

The 240 six has large washers on the manifold(s) bolts ... none for the cylinder head that I have seen so far ... not sure about the 140, 170, and 200 set ups ...
