Transmission

With my 1951 F3 restoration I swapped out the original rear end and installed a 1993 Ford 3/4 ton 3:55 rear end to get more top end speed.

The transmission is the original 4 speed (non-syncro) and my question is: Is this transmission sufficient or should I be thinking on changing it?

Thanks

Really depends on what you’re gonna do with your truck. If you are just driving around town etc your current transmission will be good to around 60-65 MPH. If you’re wanting to cruise at interstate Speeds you might consider a over drive manual transmission. I.e T-5 etc.

Thank You that is very helpful....my driving will be limited to around town and short trips.....65 mph will be my max speed.
