Transmission trouble

I have a 95 f350 7.3 auto 2wd i put a new torque converter in when I put it in reverse it will about die pulls it down so much it goes through all the gears just fine getting up to speed but when I let off right when it's about to downshift it like pulsates 3 or 4 times then shifts does it all the way to 1st and advice would be great thanks in advance

Low trans fluid can cause this.
