Is the bolt diameter and thread pitch the same on the water pump to bolt up the clutch as it is on the OEM fan clutch itself where you bolt up the fan? I need to get new bolts for the conversion and its' 112 degrees outside, so I'd like to get everything I need before I start.....
I don't know the answer for a fact, but if you are talking about the threaded holes in the water pump's fan "flange" thingy, I don't think they differentiate between a fan only, or a fan with a clutch if that's what you're asking.
Although it does sound as if you're asking for info on two different types of fan clutch? Not sure, but if there is only one water pump listed for your engine over several years, then I would guess the bolt threads are the same.
Or are you asking about the thread size where the fan bolts to the clutch, as compared to where the clutch bolts to the water pump?
If that's the case, then I really have no idea. Been way too long since I had one apart.
I don't know the answer to that either. Been too long since had one off. Never had to buy/source any either as I always used what was on existing for replacement.
Basecamp is correct, I've never had to change a water pump when converting to a clutch fan before. Make sure the bolts you use are not to long and just go through the water pump flange.
