Started to crank but stopped and then nothing. Lights will not work, turn key and nothing. fuel pump

seems to be clicking and on top of all that, hood latch will not release hood! 2004 lariat..
gonna work on the hood tomorrow. Storm stopped me todayl
Anyone have any ideas?

bad battery cable or battery ? LIghts bypass most of the stuff and will work without key / ignition / etc... just switch and battery.

Are you sure battery is not just failed ,corroded etc. not hard to test with test light. of course you gotta find away in there .

Getting there is my first goal. Tomorrow. I have not found any youtube that was good telling me a way to open the hood. I am going to remove air dam tomorrow and go from there.

my 2006 F350 hood latch release inside got to the point where it felt Like it wasn’t doing anything, but after pulling the release, I would walk to the hood and could pull it up with my fingers to where I could release the final latch. So just double check that

Yeah, I saw videos about that,. The latch stuck open. Wish that was my case.

Anyone know if I can spray the latch with wd 40 with hood closed.

my latch was not stuck open; it was always shut tight. Try it if you haven’t already done so.

Got the hood open. Broke latch cable. Loose battery cable. Going to put new cable on this week. Thanks for all the help.

Did you come from underneath where the rubber sheets block the rocks etc . Mine had come loose and I used stainless screws and washers to get it back in place . releasing that must have been difficult ,good to know exactly how you did it .
