Jeff, I feel your pain...
those pups ARE part of the family...
we have a pure bred white Lab that the person we got it from includes 6 weeks of retriever training and has a hunting lineage from a $900 Dog !!!
And my wifes made it no more than a lap dog ! I'm not sure what will happen when we loose that one, cuz the dog gets better treatment then I do !

Someone just taught me a new trick with the remote I didn't know it would do....
when you come in from a hard run, put it in park, hit the remote start key, pull the key, and it will idle for 10 mins or so and then shut down !!! Cool feature, but I'll probably never use it !

I have the Viper 150ESP. It is a basic unit without an alarm system. I wanted the remote start features but was not interested in the alarm functions of some of the higher end units.
Mine will remote start, turbo cool down witch allows you to shut off the ingition and leave the truck running. It will run for a predetermined amount of time (setable at install) and shut itself off. I use this feature all the time as I believe in cooling down the turbo. It will also if you desire start the truck every 3 hours, run for 26 mins and shut down and repeat for 6 cycles.
I have seen systems range installed from about 300 to 800 depending on the whisles and bells you want. Some will roll down your windows or open your sun roof, etc.
