I haven't updated for awhile because everything has been going fairly well. I've learned so much here that when my truck has messed up recently, I've been able to fix it everytime.
Woke up in Kansas City this morning, headed back home. Went outside to get an early start, and my truck and trailer are gone, along with the forklift and other stuff I was hauling, as well as all my personal tools, misc.
do you have pictures of the truck you can publish?
If I were you, I would post as many of them as possible in the appropriate internet forums and on facebook.
I don't read much good things what's going on over the Atlantic Ocean at the moment
This is really the only advantage we have here in Germany. The trucks are so rare here, that its not possible to sale them.
If they are stolen here, they usually disappear forever and are slaughtered.
Pisser. I actually yank the fuel pump fuse out most nights, every night this trip except last night. I've also left the right front corner bunged up a bit, and dont wash it so much, just to make it an unattractive old, high mileage work truck that no one would want.
WTH steals beat up 2006 F450 XLs??
Damn, 2 days ago, I bought a brand new turbo. In the last 3 months I've replaced the fuel pump, alternator, two injectors, water pump, both batteries, and starter, upgraded to ELC. It was running great, good deltas, low Eot, compression good. I was going to get another 100k.
And my best trailer, the one rigged to do double tows.
I have to admit, I got my ROI out of both of them long ago, but they were still worth $10k anyway, aplus all my tools.
Now, I have to get my shuttle bus running fast. It's got the transmission error that Mark says is prolly a short in the harness. I hate electrical issues.
Man! That does suck. Posting pics is good suggestion. There aren't a Lot of 6.0s running the roads. Hopefully one or two people on this site will spot it. FTE has a big network. I would also reach out to local shops in the area it was took to see if parts or trannies have been put out for sale.
again THAT SUCKS.
Sorry about your trouble. When I saw you had posted I was really looking forward to hearing from you with one of your adventures. Hope you get her back by some miracle.
Still working on getting home. Got pics on my PC. I'll update.
So sad to hear. If the police works hard, they maybe able to review traffic cams, various security cams and merge up a path where the criminals went.
Hope that's what's going on.
Man I HATE this for anyone. My buddy and I were just talking about insurance on our trucks yesterday. This scenario is exactly why I pay the extra to have it fully covered because I don't have cash to replace it if some jackhole wants to hump it.
Has anyone ever tried using a tracking device? We just received some tracking "bugs" from Milwaukee tools to place on our cordless equipment. Apparently you download the app and track your equipment. I realize that something like this could easily be removed but what if you hid a bug somewhere inside a truck?
I really hate to be a negative Nancy here.....but with all that gear and equipment how come nothing was insured? Even on some of the biggest pile of junk vehicles I’ve owned had full coverage.
