Yes the 5w30 I know it cost a little more but I really like it. I normally change mine every 3,000 cause I tow with it more than anything but this go round Im going to run it 6,000 and do a analysis and see if its still good and change to that OCI.
My 19 is mostly quiet at idle when cold but as others said once warm, it has a moan, grown, errk erkk erkk and is super embarrassing. Its did it since day 1. Almost 2 years later and 12k miles same thing. Runs great over idle lol

Mine is a 19 as well about the same mileage it runs smooth even at idle. I will say though the first 3,000 miles I ran Motorcraft oil and filter and I wouldn’t say it ran like crap but it definitely didnt run as good as with Castrol Edge and Amsoil now. Same in my 6.7 I ran Motorcraft at first now Rotella T6 but Im even going to try Amsoil Diesel oil in it next time and see what she does it has a little over 21,000 on it so should be interesting. I just sent in a analysis on it running the T6 6,000 see what it says.
Mine is 16. Bought new. Has 19,800 miles currently. I would have to say mine ticks on startup about 25% of the time when cold. Sounds like a bled off lifter in an old small block chevy starting. I never got concerned because mine will sometimes sit in the garage for 2-3 wks between starts so I figured it just comes with the territory.
My 4.2 V6 F150 ticked incessantly. I just got a 2011 F250 with the 6.2, 110k on the odometer and it's smooooooth. It's quieter in the cab than my F150. No ticks whatsoever.
