Yep, no one wants to work anymore, they all expect a free ride. I've worked in some form or another since I was 13. I only have a year and a half left to retire at 55. Can't wait!!
since this corona crap started and our brain dead governor decided to give everyone unemployment plus 600 everyone decided why work when i can get $1,272 per week free???
i have had one day off since the end of feburary.(besides my regular sat/sun)
but since most of that work has been for the fed at post offices, i have been on federal prevailing rate for the past 3 1/3 months.
my average weekly pay these past 3 1/2 months had been $2,800 per week.
now that the free ride is almost over the slackers want to come back to work........
the guy i do rental for replaced all the no shows with people that wanted to work. and we sold two of the other three trucks.
the one remaining is for a long time driver that is out on sick leave, he is recovering from lung cancer surgery.

Crazy how that works. My son has a good job at the Ky. Truck plant building our beloved Superdutys. He was making more on unemployment during this crap than when he works!! Of course hes back to work now, but kids these days have no idea what WORK is!

Tried retiring at 50 almost 15 years ago. Went well for about 5 years but I needed something structured to do. Still work 1 or 2 days a week just to get out. Come and go as I please and get to BS with people. Life is good.
