In my town, at least, having propane that close to a window is not to code. I have natural gas here, and the blowoff for the meter was under my bedroom window. House was inspected (rental) by the village, and he said that had to be moved. So he proceeded to tell me how to do it myself, and never wrote it up or came back to check it.
