RABS light

Read post about the sensor needing to be cleaned so I did after I changed the differential fluid, light is still on. I’m looking through the troubleshooting guides in the manual but it is like trouble shooting the space shuttle like 12 pages. What are the top three causes? If the RABS doesn’t work well anyway is it better to bypass? Thoughts before I bypass it?

The RABS system on these trucks is junk, IMO. My recommendation is remove the fuse and also the anti-lock warning light bulb. First thing I do when I get one of these trucks.

Like troubleshooting the space shuttle? There isn’t much to the system. I have kept the RABS (F-150) and 4wheel ABS (‘94 Bronco) functioning. The only one I bypassed was the RABS in the ‘87 Bronco because I replaced the 8.8 axle with a 9” so no sensor.

You don’t say what year your working on by pull codes to see what’s wrong.
