Really unsure about what the meaning of "A" and "B" on almost every part that I´m looking at means? Looking at my iD-tag on the door I can see that I have a bodytype "B", does that letter narrow it down to me ordering parts from LMC with the article "B" then? Sorry for a really dumb question. But it´s my first big order from them and return from Norway will be expensive...
Maybe it means there is a special note about the part: A ect....B ect...
What part are you concerned about, and I will take a look in the paper catalog I got when I went to LMC the other day.
No harm no foul, as long as you get the parts you need ,that is what matters. Now their repop "quality" maybe be a different story. Their parts fit and finish reputation is not the best.

Yes, sad that it is like that. But I’ve found out that many smaller parts are the same that my local dealer orders. Doing it myself will save me some money.
Have learned the last six months with restoring that the bigger mechanical parts like dyno, brakes etc, are worth finding and buying the more quality parts.
Man, I love this truck. Most of the restoring is so fun and these 45 year old hardware on it is so rugged, some rust yes, but still functional and working. Good job fron these guys in the older days building our gems
LMC really is more or less a "crap shoot" when it comes to quality. In one order I received Chinese "white box" parts with absolutely no identifying info other than LMC's part number, a Dennis Carpenter reproduction part with LMC's part number stuck over the DC part number and a Ford NOS part still in the original Ford box, again, with LMC's part number pasted on.
When it comes to LMC, I cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Their rubber parts are just terrible. Especially their weather stripping. I hate to bag on a company and give them a bad rep, but in the case of their rubber weather stripping, they should be ashamed to sell such junk. I know I say this a lot, but it's ridiculous pay over $200 for all new weather stripping that lasts less than 2 years and never seals.
I know LMC gets a bad deal on here, BUT they do not make their own products. LMC along with others are getting the product from pretty much the same company’s. This is the way the world works now. One manufacturer and one hundred company’s selling the same crap with different names. You don’t have to look much farther than the appliance world to see this. I think the biggest reason we see subpar products is the consumer keeps buying them and expecting different results. You buy cheep most of the time you get cheep. I said most not all. If the consumer demanded and held to a hire expectation then that is what we would get. I didn’t say hire quality cheaper price as that is an oxymoron. I humbly step down from the soap box.

I totally agree, but they are still selling a terrible product that they stand by, or at least should stand buy, regardless of who manufactured it. Their weatherstripping also isn't all that cheap. If memory serves me, it was either just as expensive, or maybe even a little pricier than Bronco Graveyard (what I replaced the crumbled LMC junk with). The Bronco Graveyard rubber has held up fantastically, zero complaints, for the same price, maybe a little less.
My father spent a lot of money on LMC stuff for the truck before he passed away and I've already had to replace most of it. The new wiper motor burned up within a week, the replacement door panels are garbage, one cracked the first time we shut the door, the replacement showed up in 6 pieces, that one's replacement showed up with a corner busted off. We eventually got a refund and stuck with the stock panels. There were a few other parts he never had the time to install that are still in the garage that I'll never install.
That's why their commercials brag about their "service" not their products. Their service is great tho, they were very understanding and eager to offer the many refunds, returns and exchanges we were forced to do.
I’ve personally had a pretty good experience with LMC. Thanks to this forum have a pretty good idea of the things people aren’t happy with. Been doing a resto on my 78 F250 for a while and have lots of LMC parts. Have gotten a few things that I wasn’t happy with, and they’ve been great about returns, shipping costs etc. Have always done their best, I felt, to make things right. Of course I would rather buy American made FoMoCo products for my truck. But have to work with what is available. If LMC we’re making the stuff I would have higher expectations. But as a middle man, getting me the parts to get my stuff done, have to say I’m glad they’re around. My two cents.
I've got no complaints with LMC on any of my parts so far, and I've spent north of $1000 on parts from them for my truck. The old saying goes: if someone has a bad experience, they'll tell 10 people. If someone has a good experience they tell 3. That's before the internet.
If you like paying premium prices for parts you know nothing about, and then paying ridiculous shipping and handling, go with LMC. Just don't plan on sending anything back.
