Hey Guys. Like the title says, I am looking for a under cab fuel filter holder that was used on cabs with fuel tanks. The picture shows what I am looking for. Anyone have any ideas on where to purchase? Worst case scenario is I’ll fab one up but I was wanting to keep it looking close to original-which is stamped.
Not so. My early 77 F-250 Hi Boy that I ordered new, has the filter and bracket located under the floor , under the in cab tank.
Definitely wouldn't be the first time the FMPC was wrong.
The illustration in the Master Parts Catalog doesn't show any inline filter on the in-cab tanks.
Here's a link to the page in the catalog:
Learn something new every day. I've never seen a holder for the filters under there. Mine have always just hung from the fuel line by the tank valve. I've never had an issue with them, but the holder seems like a good idea.
Mark.
These are stock on highboys. At least 76/77 for sure (EDIT) "thinking back all 3 of my 77s had it but can't recall for sure about older highboys". You'll have to find one used. Good thing is this is not a part that is in demand!

So the pic I posted is on a 77 highboy I have (truck in avatar) that is almost 100% unmolested. I have a ‘76 highboy cab that also has the holes for the filter/holder. Project truck is a ‘74 highboy with a ‘76 f 150 cab on it. The 150 had an in cab fuel tank, along with a belly tank and holes for this mysterious filter/holder.
