Smashed trailer plug.
Hey guys, a tree jumped out of nowhere and I backed right into my trailer plugs and crushed them. I'm wondering where I can get the exact replacement parts for my 2012 F350. Is there a harness that disconnects somewhere or am I going to have to do some splicing? The plug is completely smashed.

I get oem parts from autonation while bear lake (formerly tousle ford.
Should be able to get the harness from the plug to just around the spare tire where it connects into the wiring harness.

Dumbest place ever for a trailer plug.
For years I was moving them up to the license plate area then GM finally figured it out w the GMT900s and put it up there from the factory. I think Ram started around '08/9, too
You can get a decent receptacle at most corporate stores - there's an "armored" version I prefer which is SLIGHTLY more heavy duty...then if you can pull the trigger on a drill all you need is a hole saw and 4 smaller mounting holes.

So you have these moving trees too. We also have entrances that get narrower as you drive through, keep catching my wife out.
