I am replacing worn out parts on my steering column. I think that the pin that has the two spring sleeve for shift lever is broken at the top (see pic). Do you think it’s broken? Anyone know where I can find a replacement or do I even need a replacement?
Showing the section of pin that I think is broken Pin does not stick out past the springs. About 1/8” inside
If Rich is right on which part you need, it's P/N C0DF-7361-A, Plunger, Transmission gearshift selector, 1-21/32" overall length.
Unfortunately I could only locate one dealer who shows having any. The bad news is it's Bob Allen Ford in Overland Park, KS and they haven't updated their inventory since Feb, 2016! So it's anybody's guess if they still have one. (913) 381-3000.
So I called the number for Bob Allen and they told me that they did not have the item. They did show that it was in stock in a couple other locations and that one of them was probably out of business already. The second place was in Texas and when I called to ask about it the confirmed they had the plunger in stock! The parts associate said it was in a little sealed bag that he had not seen before... he couldn't even look up the price! $13 later i have the part heading my way!
Thanks for the help and direction! now just to hurry and wait for it to show up
