Everything is still working, but the pin that holds the shift lever in place is coming out. See picture below... the pin is coming out the bottom, but it is currently stuck. I've tried jiggling the column while pulling on the pin, also tried tapping the pin back up.
Anyone have any advice on how to get the pin unstuck?
take a punch the same size as the roll pin and insert from the top to align the hole in the shift lever with the hole in the collar, then tap the rollpin up from the bottom.
Are you wanting to remove it or just get it back up into place?
Remember, if all else fails, use a BIG sledge hammer! or a small amount of gun powder, and a small blasting cap! J/K
If your trying to get it back in, I would say use a pair of channel locks. If your trying to get it out try the punch, tap it out...
Thanks guys! I'm trying to get it back in, it's worked it's way out by itself. I have a history of breaking things and making small issues big problems, and wanted some opinions before I tried too hard.
