I purchased the kit as well. Still deciding on the install. Did you use the 'T' fitting for the low pressure return lines or did you install a remote power steering reservoir like the diagram that was supplied with the kit from Hydratech showed? The instructions are for the use of the 'T' fitting.....

I rebuilt a Saginaw pump that I had (as I already did the Saginaw pump conversion on my truck to begin with) and I installed a new dual return reservoir. So I didn’t do the “T” fitting in the return line. Easier and cleaner I’m my opinion.
They weren't 4 wheel disc and they weren't anti-lock but with just a hydroboost they still aren't. the pedal pressure required on stock brakes is minimal and was not really a struggle for me when these rigs were new, and now that I'm in my 50's it still isn't. maybe I'm just super strong or something and I might believe that if my 5'4 120 lb wife didn't pull a gooseneck stock trailer all the time with an F250 back in the day .
I'm not bashing anyone who does it I just don't get it. at all.
No bashing/offense taken at all.
I did it for two reasons. One being the pedal feel and effort is night and day different vs the original stock 77 power brake unit in my F150. Even my 77 F350 which if I recall correctly has a better booster unit then the F150/250 series of trucks.
The other reason is my right foot has had surgery on my toes (couldn’t drive a vehicle for 2 weeks) and I’ve torn the ligaments in that same ankle 2 times now. 8 weeks in a cast both times. Worse then breaking a bone the doctor says. First time I was 17 years old (which was a while ago). So I tend to favor that ankle/foot. If I aggravate that ankle at all it’s not happy. Bending it certain ways I can feel the ligaments move around (which they shouldn’t do). So dealing with not having to put any added pressure on that ankle is a bonus for me in some cases. It really reminds me when I just pivot the foot (mostly leaving me heel on the floor per say) from the gas pedal to the brake pedal. I do though out of habit from my street racing and drag racing days do use my left foot more for the brake pedal.
Driving a car/truck with a clutch (my truck is a automatic) isn’t as big of a deal with the right foot/ankle as when you go to brake I lift my foot off of the gas pedal and put it onto the brake pedal. I”m not pivoting it like when I drive an automatic.
