Unhappy motorhome
Have a 1991 class A with EFI 460 engine and 3 speed manual overdrive. Transmission gone- not worth rebuilding. Can this transmission easily be changed up to a newer(say 6 speed) tranny in this motor-home application ? Thanks for any ideas. OH!- and limited budget.

You could stick a ZF S5-42 in it. Parts should be easy to find. There are adapters for the 460 for newer transmissions, but prepare to empty your wallet.
