I have a 2001 xlt supercrew that the glove box isn't latched at the top and I see no way to latch it currently. Is there some piece that im missing?

 

the glove BOX is the black part setting on the back of the DOOR... you need to remove the black BOX and screw it back into the hole in the dash.. The BOX may be latched to the DOOR right now.

 

The fix ended up being to get a glove box that had the left hand tab still attached. The box part of the glove box is screwed to the back of the door and has tabs that slip behind the dash to keep it up while it's open
